XKZ are now producing Wheel Adaptors, which enable New Style Wheels to be fitted to early model vehicles (any pre 2006 XK and pre 2003 XJ).

Wheels for early cars are getting expensive and scarce whereas newer wheels are readily available and often at much less cost. These Adaptors bolt onto your existing studs / spigot locations and provide studs / spigot locations to suit the new wheels.
So you can now fit 09 KALIMNOS on your 97 XK or 05 SABRES on your 95 XJ.
4 x Adaptors (each 25mm wide) with 20 pressed in studs and 20 locking nuts are £400 plus carriage and VAT.
The standard XK8 / XKR exhaust system has been criticised for being too quiet, but in practice the quality mild steel system has lasted well in service. However with early cars now over 14 years old, it will be time to consider renewing the exhausts system. Problem is, the cost to replace the standard system would be in excess of £700 using original Jaguar XK8 / XKR parts.

There are two types of end pipe trims for the XK8 and XKR models; the SPA trim which is oval in shape and straight through finish or the ASSEN trim which is again oval but with a concave interior finish. XK8 Parts Review - Recommended CTEK Battery Charger
Many XK8 and XKR owners take their cars off the road in winter months and they can often be left for weeks without being started. In our post on the XK8 / XKR window reset procedure (click here),we reported on how easily the battery can become discharged when left for a time which will then require a battery recharge, the resetting of windows, radio code etc. Also, the constant drain can permantly damage the Jaguar model 017 battery.
It’s recommended to purchase one of the latest battery maintenance chargers to avoid these problems occurring and allow you to start your car any time with a fully charged battery.
